There are a large number of restaurants in the Anderson area. Try the ones on this list, but try as many as you can of the others and make your own list of good restaurants. There’s a lot of good food to try.
Summa Joe’s offers pizza and an American menu. It’s a local favorite and offers low country favorites. Daily specials reflect what is in season. Try the Coastal Shrimp Cake or the Pan Seared Sea Scallops. Some customers gave high ratings to the Duck Lettuce Wraps.
Sullivan’s Metropolitan Grill has won many regular customers. It offers a Southern style ambience and is located in a historic building. Their lobster bisque is recommended, but so are Duck Fries and Sweet Potato Cheese Chips. Sullivan’s hush puppies have won loyal fans.
The Pampered Pig specializes in barbecue, ribs brisket and anything else BBQ. Try the Pulled Pork and the Baked Beans.
Customer ratings praise the Earle Street Kitchen and Bar. They recommend the brunch. Try the Fried Chicken, the Meatloaf or the Fried Okra. There are vegetarian and gluten free options.
The Eggs Up Grill has gluten free and vegan options. Eggs Up is known for breakfast and burgers. Customers recommend the Pancakes or Home Fries.
Doolittles is highly rated for its brunch, and also for its Crab Cakes. Customers also praise the Tomato basil soup. Its steaks and seafood are locally sourced.
McGee’s Scot Irish Pub is known for its diversity. The menu includes Up Country fare, as well as heritage cooking, and a range of Scottish and Irish foods. Much of the food originates in the owners’ own family farm.
